A Newborn Portrait Session in Stuart
Today I am blogging a recent newborn portrait session with a very special family. I had the honor of photographing Chris and Kelly’s wedding, maternity photos and now their newborn photos with little Chandler. Its always so exciting and humbling when friends and clients entrust you with SO many precious moments of their lives.
This little guy…he is so precious and has the best little personality. Kelly already had so many ideas when I got there and we really did try to fit them all in. With dad as a professional fisherman and mom loving all things coastal and islands, this shoot has all the feels. Blues, greens, fish, anchors, coral, artwork by Kelly Tracht – Baby C even has the cutest stuffed fish that he loves and we played around with for a while. I could have shot this little peanut for days…or taken him home with me! I can’t wait to snuggle him again!
Newborn Photos and What Type?
These days I really try to take a little more of a lifestyle approach to all my photography sessions. I feel it is really important though to listen to clients as to what type of newborn photographs they want. So, sessions don’t really have to be one way or another…they can be mixed! This was a mixture of the two. There was a lot of snuggling and just hanging out with baby Chandler, but we also did quite a bit of styling and posing for this one. It all depends on what type of shoot you want. Newborn sessions are a blast to shoot and I love working with moms to determine what shots and sessions are best for them.
